What can I do? Do I have to buy new pans? They're tfal and about 5 years old. If possible is just like to restore the non stickiness cause I can afford to replace for a few months.

sad, isn't it. I stopped buying expensive non-stick pans because they wear out. You could try a ceramic pan next time.

Rub the surface with kitchen roll and half a drop of cooking oil. Polish off. It will look the surface looking dark and glossy. Don't wash it off, just put them away and they will be ready to use next time.

Dishwashers in particular will remove all traces of the greasy film, so re-oil and polish after cleaning.

Thanks PJ. Will try that.
I don't run them through the dishwasher but we use them most days so they do get washed a lot.

That's about the longest I've every had out of a non-stick pan too - despite careful usage..

I tried a couple of white ceramic ones, and they were fantastic for about a month, then they went the same way as normal non-stick, so I'm not sure they're the answer either - perhaps there are better brands though?
