Battery -powered Dysons

Hi Ladies, I'm thinking of buying a battery-powered Dyson for use upstairs, to save lugging the normal one up the stairs all of the time. I'm looking at the DC59 and the DC44, both of which look very similar bit with a price difference of around £100. The battery on the DC44 is said to last from 8-12 minutes between charges, where the DC59 lasts 20 minutes. That appears to be the only difference.

Have any of you any experience of these Dysons? Good or Bad?

Many thanks :)

I've got a DC44 and love it - I'd say it lasts a bit longer than 8-12 - more like 15 mins constant. I can do an entire floor with it (hard floors)

Better for wood floors in my opininon - though the animal attachment is excellent and I use it for the rugs.

I'd always buy the latest one if I could

Thanks Forago. The DC59 is being advertised as coming with that animal attachment, so given that our upstairs is all carpeted I think we'll go with that one.
