Storing Ice creams/Lollies.

Last year we had an upright freezer with drawers so I had one drawer full of ice lollies etc so the kids (5 and 6) could easily go to the freezer and choose one. When I did the food shop I would take them all out the box and just tip them straight in. Meaning no bulky cardboard boxes hogging the freezer space and making it hard to get to.

Nowadays we have a big chest freezer. Stocked up on Ice creams last week during the nice weather to save the ice cream man war outside school every day. Finding I need to keep them all in their boxes, which takes up SO much space. Especially when you end up with a load of half full boxes.

Anybody know the best solution? I am thinking some sort of container to tip them in within the freezer but can't think exactly what I need. Freezer often full So don't really want anything that wastes space.

Any ideas?

Just use an large empty ice cream tub and tip the 'leftovers' in when the boxes get half empty?

Too many for an ice cream container, need to get something that I can just tip them all into when I do the food shop. Have a family of 5 who often have one ice cream each on a hot sunny day so they add up to quite a few...

Bung them in a big plastic bag - that will change it's shape to fill up any 'gaps' in the freezer, whilst keeping them all together.
Am a bit at the amount of ice creams you must buy though
