Please recommend me a good kitchen bin!

Sorry for such a boring thread but I cant face wading through a million reviews on Amazon for a new bin!
I need something medium sized (around 30l) which is square backed so can sit against the wall and is easy to empty a dustpan into, so not a small push top bin.
I don't have a £100 budget more like £50, am not keen on noisy clangy lids though.
Plastic is fine as its not on view but would like something which will last.
Any suggestions?
TIA

Giraffe that is a good idea, I do have recycling storage but two bins together would be easier (don't have the budget for your smart S Human bin).

The good thing was as well that they fitted the Ocado carrier bags in them so we never had to buy bin liners.
(Small carrier bags too narrow, but Ocado and Waitrose both deliver in extra large bags)

Even better!

Our simple human is great. Flat back, soft close, ledge inside to help you get bags out of the inside bit and a handy thing to keep the top of the bag tidy.

Can you link to it HaveYou?

We most definitely didn't pay £110 though! It is really good but not sure i could justify it if that's really what it costs.Argos or homebase I think.

Mine is like \link{http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B007P3MPZ8/ref=mp_s_a_1_16?qid=1396131143&sr=8-16&pi=AC_SX110_SY165\this}

20L, but short & wide so it holds a lot, & not flat backed but tucks neatly into a corner. The lid is airtight & hasn't broken in umpteen years. It's perfect for us. We recycle almost everything (local tip has a skip for non-bottle plastics) & one bag lasts more than a week Smile

You can get the actual Brabantia bags pretty cheaply too

Carrier bags no good for kitchen waste IME due to safety holes near bottom. They ooze
