Getting biro off cotton

DS has scribbled on his duvet cover. It has been through the wash a couple of time, but it hadn't faded at all. Its blue, the biro, and the duvet cover is multi coloured cheap cotton mix. But I would still like to try and get it off! Any ideas pease?

Milk - sounds barmy but it has always worked for me. I put milk in a dish and soak the bit with the ink stain for a few hours or as long as it takes.

hairspray has always worked for me! just spray it on before you wash it.
