Cleaning grease off pillows

We have some new pillows. Inevitably pillows and pillowcases end up a tad yellow from DHs man neck grease so I have bought some pillow protectors for the new pillows....not quite sure they will work really, they are quilted cotteny stuff but not waterproof . The old pillows are M&S duck down. They say machine washable at 40 and to then tumble dry. Have tried washing them and they look no different. What will get rid of the yellow man grease stains?? Think part of the problem is DH seems to have made a waterproofing grease...should try selling it to tent makers

oil oxidises and goes yellow. The same happens on shirt collars from skin oil, or tablecloths if you spill oil on them. It is not visible when it is fresh, and the items may wash and look perfectly clean, then go yellow in the cupboard. Bleach won't get it out.

On shirts, only a very hot, intensive wash will get it out. You can't wash pillows like that so I think you are doomed.

If you get white cotton pillowcases, and put them in your Maintenance Wash (hot hot hot with a cup of washing soda and no powder) it is very good for getting grease out.

Vanish. It really does work on my pillows. DP's gets filthy
