manky taps

Any tips for dealing with old manky bathroom taps? They're sort of encrusted. .. do I just need new ones?

I expect it is limescale. Try Viakal.

If you are in a hard water area, the supermarkets will sell a bathroom cleaning spray that prevents the lime building up again.

If someone has been using acid cleaners that are not suitable for chrome taps, or if they are lacquered brass or gold plate, the finish may have been damaged.

Although chrome lacks novelty, it is very durable on taps.
