How to clean a mattress help!!!

My son has wet the bed and it is now dry does anyone know how to get the stain and smell away pleeeease

I don't know if it will work now it's dried but when my kids have done this I've blotted to try and get most out before it dried and turned it over to stop it getting deeper then used my steam cleaner to sterilize and clean, or before I had it used upholstery/ carpet cleaner for the stain after cleaning it with napisan or dettol by rubbing it with a nail brush and blotting.

We have mattress protectors but there are occasions when they've already had an accident and wet the bed before you can get a dry one on. I have three kids and five mattress protectors but still accident s happen. They also have form for wetting the couch if they fall asleep there so I have tried all the above on couches too

The steam cleaner really helps though, I've used it to drive the dettol into the mattress to make really sure they're clean.??
