Boiler working but not heating the water tank.

It's my worst nightmare. I've switched it off & back on again (cos that works for everything else right?) & reset the expansion tank to 1bar.

What do I do now? It's a new house, this isn't meant to be happening.

There may be a stuck valve in the boiler. Try not to panic it's unlikely to be too serious. If it's a brand new house, can you ring the builder? If not then get a gas safe engineer to look at it.

how new? Who can you ring?
Have you checked things like timers are on?

House is only 5.5 months old Sad

I've checked timers etc, the hot water was put on override this morning but only got slightly warm.

The boiler is under warranty so I'll ring them.

The stuck/sticky valve problem is very common - luckily it only takes them a few minutes to replace the part.

They will come & have a look at it tomorrow.

I'll have to heat the water using the electric now .
