Help-salt container in dishwasher clogged

The red light to show low salt has been flashing for a few days. Tried to fill the salt container in my miele washing machine and it has got clogged up having only used half of the bag. What do I need to do?? Thanks.

How much does it usually hold?

Have you poked the granules down with your finger?

what do you mean by clogged? If it is filled up to the top then it is full - you dont need to put in the full bag so save some for the next time (I think you have another post about this?)
