washing machines - leak alarm / sensor

Has anyone got a washing machine with a leak sensor or alarm? I saw mention of the idea on another thread and wondered if this was a new feature of washing machines or a separate part.

(We need to put the washing machine on an upper floor & would prefer not to send a load of water through the ceiling of floor below in case of leak)

I had one with a leak sensor. Basically it cuts the machine off mid-cycle so that it doesn't continue to pump water everywhere. It was a Siemens and I bought it around ten years ago so it's not particularly new technology.
