How many cleaning products do you use regularly?

Hi all. As a recent convert to Zoflora (because I like the smell rather than feel a need for disinfectant!), I now regularly use: Zoflora (kitchen floor and sinks), Viakal (taps and tiles), Cif (bath and sinks and general surfaces like counter tops and cupboard fronts) and bleach (just for the loo).

I like to think I am fairly light on chemicals when I clean, so wondering how this compares to other people. What do you use and for what, and what's your star product?

I am with you with the zoflora,it's great for the aroma.Also use bleach down the loo, or if there is a coffee/tea stain in the kitchen sink or on the work top.I like flash for floors, mr sheen polish for wood (springtime fragrance),and cillit bang for any limescale on the tiles in the bathroom.I don't really have a star product, except fairy liquid, as I don't have a d/w, and I know fairy does the job!

Ah, yes, Fairy! I should have mentioned that, as I too am DW free! I didn't think there were many of us around!

I use domestos bleach for the loo, Method surface cleaner in the kitchen, Cif for the bath and sink, Method almond furniture polish for wood furniture, Zoflora for the floor, Fairy washing up liquid for washing up, errrrm that's about it I think.

Own brand bleach for loo and bathroom floor
Ecover spray for general surfaces everywhere including glass
Own brand bio washing powder
Ecover washing up liquid
Occasional vinegar if glass appears to need it.

That's about it, can't think of anything else I use.

Use white vinegar as much as I can, in the bathrooms etc. Started using it more after finding the antibacterial spray was making me wheeze. Use bleach down the loos and occasionally down the sinks. The less chemicals the better for me personally. Steam mops are great too, just water.

I use copious packets of anti-bac wipes each week (preferably Wilko's lavender wipes). Domestos spray with bleach. Viakal, cheapo thick bleach for the loo, Flash bathroom spray. Windolene, Fairy, Finish tabs for the dw and pledge.
They don't seem to be very effective though as my house is still a mess!

• anti-limescale stuff
• all purpose cleaner
• cream cleaner (ceran hob)
• bio powder
• soda crystals
• loo cleaner

those are the ones frequently used but there are a few thousand bottles of hardly-ever-if-at-all used stuff in the cupboard.

Method surface cleaner in the kitchen, steam cleaner for the kitchen and bathroom floors, Cif spray for baths/sinks/toilets, own brand bleach for loo, Mr Sheen furniture spray for dusting, Method wood floor cleaner and e-mop for wooden floors, Fairy w/u liquid, Fairy All in one tabs for d/washer, currently Windolene spray for glass but usually Lidl own brand glass cleaner or one from Home Bargains. That's it!

Multi surface polish
Dettol straight to floor liquid to mop
Alternate between spray and cream cleaner for bathroom, also lime lite every now and again for the limescale.
Mr muscle spray in kitchen.
Bleach for loo.

Thanks all. Got a good idea where I fit in the spectrum now and some ideas of new ways of doing things!

Mr Sheen polish, Flash bathroom cleaner because I love the fragrance, fairy washing up liquid which is currently pomegranate and honeysuckle and smells amazing. Flash with febreeze floor cleaner in cotton fresh or new zealand. Bleach in the toilet.

I have a huge cupboard full of products! I am a firm believer that the right product for each task is less polluting.

Can anyone recommend a good product for wood laminate flooring?
