how can I get towels white again?

My white towels - esp the hand ones - are less than white in some areas! I wash them at 60 with non bio liquid. How can I whiten them please? I think bleach would wreck them?

Wash with a bio detergent but use twice as much as usual.

sorry fluffy - should have said, I have dermatitis and bio washing stuff sets it off. :( An extra rinse might help, maybe?

1/2 a bag of Soda crystals (about a quid for a big bag) in a big bucket of water or better still the sink if you have stainless and can leave them to soak for the day. Transfer once soaked to the washing machine, add more soda crystals, detergent and set to 60. Extra rinse and you're done or should be if you've soaked long enough alternatively try Milton (the nappy stuff) instead of soda crystals.

If you do the soaking in the sink you'll find that that's absolutely spotless too. We like soda crystals here

Where do you get soda crystals from?

Add two scoops of white Vanish straight into the drum.

Add the towels.

Wash at 90c with bio powder (Ariel is the best but make sure you don't buy the one for colours).

Rinse twice if you are allergic.

I get them from the local garage but Tesco's do them too.

I would bio wash also, I add a some bleach sometimes.

Then rewash a few times in non bio.

I soak whites in vanish powder overnight. I need about four scoops to work.

Thin bleach in your wash, 90 degrees.
