Any suggestions? Tabs or is that Daisy stuff any good?

I have been using Lidl tablets for years.

Quite cheap, and the dishes come out clean.

Lagoonablue · 10/02/2014 20:35

Thanks but no Lidl here. There is an Aldi though!

Any tablet as long as you also use rinse aid and dishwasher salt. Lidl or Aldi just as good as the much more expensive brands.

Rascalls3 · 10/02/2014 23:51

Tesco basic tablets are fab. I occasionally remember to put rinse aid/salt in and haven't noticed any difference from the results I had from the expensive brands I used to use.

BigArea · 10/02/2014 23:52

Aldi tablets are ace, better than Finish IMO

MercuryRising · 11/02/2014 06:31

I use the Daisy tablets and they do a great job.

Rosa · 11/02/2014 06:35

the Aldi one is very good.

Be sure to use salt and rinse aid which will improve your dwr.

Indith · 11/02/2014 14:29

I use Daisy powder plus Daisy or own brand salt an rinse aid depending on which is cheaper when I do my shopping. Cheap, lasts ages and everything comes out clean so I assume it works!

specialsubject · 11/02/2014 14:35

if you have a Wilkinson, there stuff works well and is cheap.

specialsubject · 11/02/2014 14:35

oh FFS - THEIR!! Blush

Bearleigh · 11/02/2014 20:58

Waitrose or Sainsbury's own brand powder plus rinse aid and salt.

The Miele engineer told us our d/w wasn't working properly because we were using tablets, and to use the three separate elements.

Powder etc is cheaper and things, especially glasses now come out far more sparkling. We only use half the recommended dose, so it is even cheaper than I expected.

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/02/2014 13:40

Tesco daisy powder lasts me a good 9 months for under a fiver.

Betty5313 · 12/02/2014 14:35

asda smart price tablets and asda salt here, everything comes out clean and without the horrid film and perfume finish leaves.

ToFollowJulie · 12/02/2014 14:38

I've found powder to be much better than tablets. It dissolves more easily and you can control how much you use. If I can't find powder (my local Wilkinson doesn't stock it any more) I break tablets in half. Half a tablet seems to wash better than a whole one, possibly because it doesn't take so long to dissolve in the water.

PigletJohn · 12/02/2014 14:44

if you are having problems with detergent dissolving, it may be that your dwr is not heating the water correctly.
