Empty a jar of dried coffee onto some kitchen roll and leave on the bottom shelf

Other than that if you've tried everything else.... Ummmm....

Oh god in that case, light incense sticks everywhere, shut the kitchen door and greet mother at the front door with hat and coat on and the words "we're going out for afternoon tea, my treat!"

Or some bicarbonate of soda on a saucer

Grin at thepears second suggestion. But not likely to happen. Oh god tge time is ticking but the fridge does now smell strongly of coffee.
I'll just say the fridge is going through a tough time with the freezer so he/she is drinking alot of coffee ...

You need to leave the coffee overnight really to absorb as much of the smell as possible.

Can you bung some apples and cinnamon in a pan and stew gently to cover the smell of coffee? Pretend you're making the filling for a pie later or something?
