doesn't scale up, doesn't leave yellow/brown marks on clothes, or chuck out old limescale when ironing fav. white shirt! mine says it shouldn't but it does. I use descaled water to fill it up and it's supposed to be self-cleaning, but it still does all those horrible things it's not supposed to.

don't care if I have to spend more money - which is the best iron?? Help!

I use Tefal Ultraglide it has an anti scale cartridge.

is it good though furball - mine has all those features, yet it still scales up and spoils clothes

sallys, I know, I am not one of those freaks who irons everything, if I can get away without ironing it I will. my friend irons her towels ffs!!

I like it and I'm on my second - dropped the first and broke it. I thought I'd have a change and got another brand but took it back and changed it for the Ultraglide. It really does glide. The only time it splutters (but only water) is when I forget to turn the steam off for doing cooler no 1 settings. If you buy it from Argos, you can give it a whirl, then if you don't like it take it back.

This sounds good. I am a non-ironer really but have to do some and our current iron is terrible (chosen and mostly used by dh I have to say)
