How to sort out peeling painted tiles?

We painted our kitchen tiles a few years ago as a stopgap until we could afford to replace them. Unfortunately we still can't and the paint is now peeling off round the edges and especially near the sink and other wet areas. Is there anything I can do? At the moment every time I wipe down I'm pushing little bits of white paint round the whole kitchen.

I suppose you could get it off with a paint scraper and start again.

What sort of paint did you use, and how did you clean the tiles first?

Yes I think that might be the only way. I used proper tile paint (the International one) and followed all the instructions, it looked great for quite a while but I don't think it's meant to be a long term solution unfortunately.

mmm same here.

I think the answer is to sand it down - or peel it off - and start again.

I must say though, that I was quite impressed with the tile paint. It covered up some delightful floral patterned tiles in the kitchen.
