Any tips on getting rid of them or at least the smell?

Have been hoovering them/Throwing them outside and wiping where they have been but they keep returning.

They don't smell great though and have just had to calm ds1 who found one in her bed so could do without them.

ooooh sorry no help but I'm following this as a friend has an infestation of these too. it's meant to be a lucky sign of something or other

Please somebody provide the answer, I hate them. Somebody told me that killing / crushing one causes smell which then attracts others. Seems to be one bedroom, would be DD's who screams at them and constantly on the look out for the horrible things

How can you bring yourself to kill a ladybird?

Ladybirds are very useful garden insects, however I feel your pain. Link below to an american based website. Hope this is of some help.

there has to be a way to get rid without squishing em......how are they getting in?

have you had a google?

Gigondas · 03/02/2014 08:36

Thanks leaves- might check out the trap they speak of.

Vicarina I have googled but there doesn't seem to be any good advice on how to get rid of pheromones that causes smell and attracts them back. I don't squish them (happy to let them out) but they reappear.

Brice I sympathise - dd1 doesn't like them much and I am not overly enamoured when they fall in my tea.

One site did suggest white vinegar to get rid of smell- I may try and report back.
