Just that really. I'm a messy cook and DH works in the food industry. I just can't seem to get grease/oil stains out of clothes. It ruins them Hmm help?

I squeeze some washing up liquid straight onto the stain before chucking it in the machine, seems to work.

Is it too late if I've already washed it? Half the time I notice them when I come to iron something Confused

Buy some Napisan if you don't already have it and wet the grease stain then sprinkle on a bit of the Napisan. Rub it around to make a bit of a paste, leave it an hour, wash on hot (properly hot - 90 if your machine can do it).

It's not the end of the world if you've already washed the clothes. You might need to repeat the Napisan thing 2 or 3 times.

Hairspray actually works really well on shifting lipgloss (messy DD2), i think it works on grease stains too.

I use bio liquid rubbed into stains before washing as well.

Try rubbing in some Swarfega leaving for a while then washing. That usually works well on grease stains. Not necessarily if the grease has been washed and 'baked' in but worth a go.

Neat washing up liquid, leave over night and then wash with bio detergent.

Thanks guys! Will give all the above a go!

A word of warning. I did the neat washing up liquid trick, massaged in gently. There are two noticeably lighter patches on DH's now gardening sweatshirt where the colour faded.
