How to clean a bed spread

I've recently moved from duvet to just a bed spread/throw because dh and I were too hot at night . But I've just realised I have no idea how to clean it . It doesn't fit in my washing machine and I've looked to see if there's any laundrettes near me but I can't find one .

It really needs a wash but I don't know what to do with it !Confused

I take mine to the dry cleaners. They can wash ANYTHING. It's not actually that expensive although we do get a discount because we get DH's shirts laundered (lazy wife emoticon). Think it's like £15 which I think is well worth it once or twice a year.

Agree with others - if it's too big for your washing machine, take it to the cleaners. I am great pals with the lady in my dry cleaners - I take her loads of things (including my ironing).
