I'm not sure if it's suitable for mirrored hobs but "Hob Brite" is the only thing that works for mine, you can get it in Sainsbury's.

Oh Pigley I have also inherited one, a Hotpoint Glass Mirror gas hob
It is a nightmare , it always looks smeared no matter what I use on it.
I have tried various sprays then just hot water and buffing it with dry kitchen roll as if it was an actual mirror but still smeary !

Thats the one Little Yellow Duck! What on earth possessed you Hotpoint!

Having abit more success with using Windowlene. Still smeary but not 'too' bad!

Have you tried wd40 sprayed on and buffed with a piece kitchen roll? I use it on my stainless steel stuff and the mirrored glass on the oven door.

I have a glass induction hob and use a bottle of any old glass cleaner spray and a microfibre cloth (eg E cloth). Have used Sainsburys, Lidl etc. Also a good technique on sinks.

I thing lemon juice+baking soda will help, but don't scrub. Poor some of this mix, wait for 10 min. and then clean.
