Do you spring clean? If so what is your strategy?

Do you do it one room a week, or dedicate a whole week to the whole house? Do you de-clutter as you go, or de-clutter the whole house before doing the cleaning?

How often do you spring clean? I've lived here 5 years and have yet to do it (though I consider my house pretty clean and tidy!)

They do lists on Pinterest for both methods. Personally (not that I've ever done it!) I would do all floors, all walls, all tiles etc.

I spring clean my apartment ( I mean really deep cleaning) 1 time a year. Usually it takes 2 days to clean up the whole place. Yesterday I found an interesting article on how to organize the cleaning process and think to try to their plan.
Here's the article: Spring cleaning – effective tips for busy m?ms ( cleaning-tips.housecleaning-london.co.uk/spring-cleaning-effective-tips-for-busy-m%D0%BEms/ )

I tend to do the January Cure plus a top to bottom for skirting boards and extractor filters etc.

I spring clean after every major school holiday, so three times a year.

No - no strategy Grin.

I clean as and when I can be bothered or we are having guests, I am trying to find something so have moved a load of furniture so will leave it out and dust/hoover behind it. But that's about enough effort Grin.

Just had a look at that January Cure - felt exhausted !!

I'm doing this this week actually. One room per day for a week, clearing out as I go & thorough top to bottom clean included.

Only trouble is, we now have a garage since moving & the majority of the junk to be cleared out, is in there & has been ignored for six weeks now....that'll need a week just to itself but will have to wait for better weather so I can make use of the driveway too.

Pay someone to to the windows, carpets, oven and clean the dishwasher/washing machine with one of those kit cleaners!

I also go through the cupboards to have a clear out.

Whole house in one go, on a nice day. About once or twice a year.
