How do you wash your steam cleaner microfibre covers?

I have a shark steam cleaner with washable microfibre covers. Until now I have been washing them in the machine in normal bio powder (no softer). However they arent really coming clean. Im thinking a soaking in bleach? Would this damage them or is there another way ive not thought of?

Does it matter if they are stained? If the stain doesn't come out in the washing machine its not going to affect how the cleaner cleans is it?

Well I never thought of it like that. It just doesnt 'look' clean. I mean I wouldnt use a stained tea towel for example.

What temperature are you washing at? Mine were the same (different model but microfibre covers) but I think the instructions were to wash at no higher than 40 degrees.

I washed them at 60 and the stains did come out so maybe try a higher temperature?

As Chemenger says, it doesn't really matter too much but I know what you mean!

I use vanish soap on them first!

40 as mine also advised no hotter but I'll try 60.

I've got some vanish soap in the cupboard as well so ill give that a try too!

Thank you xx
