Remind me again, how do you get the sick smell out of carpets?

Well it's a rug actually, a Reddish one at that too.

Ds2 had his third every vomitting episode in nearly 3 years and it dont half stink.

I got rid of the initial load but the smell lingers. Is it vinegar? Is it lemon juice? Is it bi carb? Is it babycham? I know it's something simple

TIA

i have used the liquid spray deodorants that you get for car upsholstery. they worked when my friend's five year old spectacularly vomited onto a coir carpet...
for some reason, the car deods seem to be stronger. i had tried everything else, i thought, but i'm sure there is a healthier option out there too.

Bicarb. Sprinkle on, rub in w/wet cloth, leave for a bit, hoover out.

Should do trick.
