American style fridge freezer

Help!!! my 12 year old whirlpool american style fridge freezer has died . To fix will cost 600 pounds approx!!!! It might be best to buy a new one BUT ( and here's the problem) the models now are taller by about 8 cm and they won't fit into the space in the kitchen. Would any Mumsnetter know of a smaller than average American fridge freezers. The width is fine. Other option would be separate side by side fridge and freezer but that would be too wide!!! Unless there are slimline models

What height do you need?Could you not get a taller one in by shifting cupboards?

Not possible. It slots into space with a large unit around it. Would have to redo half the kitchen!!!!!

What size height and width?

172 cm heught. New ones are 178/180 cm

Might be worth contacting somebody like these people,they might know of something that may fit.
