How to clean wood burner and cast iron fireplace

Any tips please? They are very dusty and grey not black looking! Saw some black wood burner polish in hardware shop? If I dust still look grey but is use damp cloth worry go rusty if left trace of damp? Also how clean the windows ; mine are really needing good clean and can't get the glass clear . Many thanks !

Mix the wood ash into a paste and use this to clean the glass up.
I'm sure you can get stove cleaner for the outside.

We use Hob Brite to clean the glass.

Damp newspaper dipped into ash to clean the glass.

WD40 used sparingly is meant to be good for getting rid of the dusty look, I haven't tried this yet though.
