Please be kind...dp usually does all the cleaning because, well, I'm rubbish at it.

I can clean all day and it isn't significantly better than when I started, dp does 15 mins and the whole place sparkles!

So help me, what are the tricks?

Today I tried to clean the upvc windows. They had a light dusting of grime, and all I've managed to do is to rearrange the muck into streaks.
Also there is a grove under the windows frame that's black. I've rubbed it and it turns the cloth black but it doesn't reduce the black in there!

So far I've cleaned them three times and they are still streaky.

Please help tia

When I haven't done them for ages I clean my windows with some soapy water (standard washing up liquid) then wipe over with plain water and dry them off with newspaper. Its the newspaper that guarantees no streaks!

No idea about the black under the frame sorry.

To get a sparkly finish you could try buffing with a new, dry cloth (i.e. with no water or cleaning stuff on it).
