Cleaning wooden floors

I have engineered wood floors throughout downstairs. So far we've just swept the regularly and spot cleaned with wood wipes.

When DD starts to crawl ongoing to want them to be much cleaner than this. He fitters just said "don't mop it", which is great, but they didn't offer an alternative!

What do you do with yours?

TIA

I have wooden floors and keep them clean with a Dyson hard floors vacuum cleaner and occasional wiping (on hands and knees) with a well-wrung e-cloth and some floor cleaner.

Hands and knees?! I was hoping to avoid getting down on my hands and knees ...

Thanks!

I mainly just vacuum and sometimes use Method wood floor cleaner.

which has a lovely almond smell which mixes with the smell of the wood. Or I use pledge wood wipes

with one of these

I don't think you especially need to keep the floor extra sterile when your dc is crawling though. Mine were fine with just normal vacuuming most of the time, although we do tend to take our shoes off by the door so don't traipse mud in. (I hasten to add that I don't require visitors to take their shoes off Grin

I have a flat microfibre mop, which you can use just damp or dry. I use it dry first to pick up the dust and fluff, then wring it out in a solution of Astonish wood cleaner. If you wring it out until it's practically dry it shouldn't need going over with a dry cloth.

I use Bona wooden floor cleaner spray with a little mop thing that comes with it.

Ecloth, hands and knees sorry.

Floors were lovely and clean when I had crawling babies.
