Can anyone recommend a product for removing black mould and that pinky orange mould?

TIA

Mouldy bump Smile

is it on tile grout? If so I always use a dab of bleach and just leave it 1/2 hour then rinse it off

MrsCharlesBrandon · 05/01/2014 21:04

The new Parazone plus bleach is awesome. I used it on my bathroom tiles and ceiling over a month ago and they still look like new. Took minutes to work as well.

Just make sure wherever you use it is well ventilated as it is pretty pokey stuff!

HG mould spray. Brilliant stuff. Lakeland sell it, as does Amazon.

meerschweinchen · 05/01/2014 21:09

Yes, this ^^. Brilliant stuff!

dettol mould and mildew remover - green bottle in most supermarkets.

ilovepowerhoop · 05/01/2014 22:00

p.s. its a spray so just spray it on and leave it to work for a while

ShiftyFades · 05/01/2014 22:17

Another vote for Dettol Mould & mildew remover. Takes 3-5 mins to work, stinks (so open all the windows) but works a treat Grin

Alwayscheerful · 06/01/2014 09:21

H.G. Mould remover is best.
Dettol mould remover is next best.

noitsachicken · 06/01/2014 09:25

Will it come back after using the HG spray? I have bathroom ceiling mould that keeps returning. I know better ventilation is probably the answer but not really that easy.

ilovepowerhoop · 06/01/2014 09:44

if the cause of the mould is still there then yes it will come back. Do you have an extractor fan? Do you have anti- mould paint on your ceiling?

noitsachicken · 06/01/2014 11:47

Yes used anti-mould paint last time. No extract sadly.
I'll try the HG and maybe paint again!

Alwayscheerful · 06/01/2014 11:50

Oil of cloves will kill the mould spores.

MrsAlwaysRight · 06/01/2014 12:42

Thanks for all the recommendations Smile

Bicarbonate of soda mixed with bleach into a kind of paste and scrubbed onto the tile grout with a toothbrush. This has been amazing for me plus the bicarb is only £1 a pot so lasts ages. It has given the best results by far, previous to this I had tried brand name bathroom cleaners and even grout cleaner from B & Q at almost £8 !
Amazing old family tip that works , try it and see ! :)

LastOneDancing · 06/01/2014 16:40

^^ Yy to bicarbonate & bleach paste! It was the only thing that killed the growths in my gross shower Confused

But open all the windows - its powerful stuff!
