customised mattress makers

We have a non standard bed and need to get a new mattress. It will mean a special order. The former maker has gone out of business but in any case I want to look at other sorts. DH has a v bad back.

Does anyone have any recommendations, or the reverse for mattress makers, and advice for mattresses for bad backs?

There is s small firm called Beds Direct in Batley, West Yorkshire.They make mattresses, so you can call in, test them and have one half soft and one firm to suit your and your dh's preferences.

I haven't used them but a coulple of people I know have and really recommended them. HTHs

That's a shame. If you have the name/make / specifications of the mattress your dh was using, you could ring them and ask if they could match it / half ofthe mattress to is, then sort your half out
