Towel drying??

Was wondering, those who don't wash towels after every time you use them how do you dry them??

I wash my towels after every 2nd use unless boys have been playing football and were really dirty! Cause if I didn't that would be 5/6 towels per day!
Normally I hang up on a towel rail that hangs behind my bathroom door but there not really drying as only have heating on at night!
My radiators aren't the biggest either to hang them on
I was either going to buy a small clothes horse or wait till everyone's showered and bung them in the tumble dryer for 20/25 mins to dry them off!

have you got a hot water cylinder/airing cupboard?

does the bathroom have an effective extractor fan?

Don't have an airing cupboard well I do have a cupboard but filled to the brim, have an extractor but it's useless!!

I hang my swimming towel over the banister every night and it's dry in the morning - unfolded though, the more the towel is folded the more it has to be really hot to dry it.

Do people really wash towels after every use?!?? Mine get washed about once or twice a month!

My old house had a banister this one doesn't!!

Im just going to tell everyone every night after there shower to put towel in tumble dryer and I'll stick it on for 20 mins

Weelady, I don't know how you manage without using the airing cupboard - any possibility of moving contents to boxes in wardrobe/under beds/piece of furniture for storage? Such a shame not to use the heated cupboard for drying.

if your bathroom extractor is ineffective, it could be changed for a better one. Does it go straight through the wall, in a 100mm duct?

Showtime no chance of emptying it as there's no were else to put it, it's not really an airing cupboard as there's no boiler or anything in it, I can usually cope with the washing as long as I do 2 loads a day religiously, if I have a Sunday hangover I'm goosed as I need to play catch up lol, I'm quite lucky as I have a balcony that's covered so clothes horse goes out during the day and brought in at night, if stuff is still damp the following morning light stuff gets tumble dried and heavier stuff goes on another clothes horse in my room, it's all these blinking towels that drive me insane

Piglet it's on the ceiling and god knows what size it is both DH and I aren't very good at stuff like that and I'm probably the better out the 2 lol

I hang mine over the doors, they usually dry overnight.

Each child has a set if pegs in their room and towel gets hung on these after use and is dry by the next day. We don't have heating on upstairs either.

I've got an airer in the bathroom - stands next to the radiator. I know everyone doesn't have a big enough bathroom, but if you do, it's effective, as can cope with more than one towel and doesn't block the heat from coming out the radiator and even when heating not on, are still airing fairly well.

Backforgood I did try putting clothes horse in bathroom but it's tiny and radiator is in between door and toilet so couldn't even put it beside radiator and when I had it in there it ended up wetter as my boys didn't give a damn about it being there when they went in the shower!!!

get some over the door hanging hooks, tk maxx often have attractive ones, hang towels on these.

I've recently abandoned thick, fluffy towels for old-fashioned huckaback type (they used to put similar in roller-towel machines, granny had them embroidered). Because they're lightweight, they have a blotting-paper effect, drying body/hair fast and also drying quickly when wet/washed. Have only seen white ones, but I hem mine with decent ribbon to match bathroom colours (and facecloths) - just an idea, maybe worth a try?

Mine and DP's go over the wardrobe doors - either side of the ensuite door, dry for the following morning.
Kids go in the airing cupboard.

I have a poncey thing fromNext that goes over the bathroom door with hooks that says "towels". You're all jealous now aren't you?

Tumble driers are for clean things! You will cross contaminate everything if you tule dry dirty towels! (Bit ott possibly but worth considering if you ever have thrush).

we have a couple of free standing towel rails like this
every one has a rung for their towel.

It's a tiny bathroom window open all day only shut at night, I seen electric towel stands like the one you posted but wonder if they would be expensive to run??

Showtime - I also have a few of those 'flat' towels. We got them for swimming and hols as they pack small and dry so quickly but are in use all the time at hom too.

To the OP, we have a row of hooks on the back of the bathroom door, a towel rail (unheated) in the bathroom and also will put towels over the side of the bath. Me and the kids have cotton towelling bathrobes. Cant say I've ever had an issue wondering what to do with them between uses, we just pick one up and use it!
