What is the best way to clean a microwave?

I am leery of using any major chemicals in the microwave so what do you recommend? I have been cleaning with random products. My dd also just microwaved a beanbag teddy that's supposed to be a cosy handwarmer but she cooked it at the highest temp and set it on fire. I cleaned it out but there is still a burnt smell, what should I use, baking soda?

Lemon juice in water.

Nothing wrong with proprietary cleaners as long as you rinse or wipe over with damp cloth.

Or white vinegar in water if you don't have a lemon. Stick it in for 10 minutes and wipe.

I use boiling water with Flash in it & microwave it on full for a few minutes.

Yep cup of water and on full for 5 minutes and wipe.

Bowl of water with chopped lemons in, cook for 10 mins on high, then wipe round as the condensation loosens the grime. Whatever you do, DON'T forget the water because cooking lemons on high leads to lots of smoke and a new microwave......ask me how I know THAT!!!!!
