Yep, have sorted out some clothes but thats it. Fed and watered the pets/children and thats me done till next meal time lol...had thoughts of cleaning out the fridge but havent got there yet..nice place to sit though, in front of the fridge

FimboMacSporran · 19/07/2006 12:46

Yes to all 3, made worse by the fact that I go on holiday on Saturday and really need to iron those clothes fast!

fattiemumma · 19/07/2006 12:46

yeap!

its a tip....i am terrified someone will knock on the door.

MissChief · 19/07/2006 12:46

YES,..and we're moving too so should be packing as well! Aaargh!

FullOfTestosterone · 19/07/2006 12:47

No.
Ican be arsed even when is not hot!

TooTicky · 19/07/2006 12:47

It's the hottest day since goodness knows when - we owe it to ourselves and to those who have to deal with our tempers to take it a bit easy!

iamapieceofcheesecake · 19/07/2006 12:53

yup. Did most of it yesterday because we have visitors today, but the clean washing is just slung in the bedroom at the moment. I can never be bothered with housework, it seems to get messy just as quickly as I tidy it.

PiccadillyCircus · 19/07/2006 12:59

I was like that yesterday - kept washing (and it kept drying) but could not be bothered to clear any of it away. Managed some yesterday evening.

At least as I'm at work today, there won't be any mess building up during the day...

MerlinsBeard · 19/07/2006 13:02

yep, going away at weekend so am saving all my ironing so its all done at once rather than sprad out. ditto the cleaning!!!

(at least, tahts my excuse )

themoon66 · 19/07/2006 13:23

I moved house two weeks ago and made a vow that I'm going to keep this one properly clean. And i mean right into the corners and everything. Am slipping already.

ComeOVeneer · 19/07/2006 13:25

No,mine is spotless. I agree it is too bl**dy hot, but the house is on the market so have no choice atm. I try to get it all done first thing before it is too hot, then banish the kids to just one room or the garden.

SSSandy · 19/07/2006 13:26

Yup! That's me

neena28 · 19/07/2006 13:29

Same here. Have managed to get some of the tops etc straight from the line to a hanger to the wardrobe in such quick succession that it hasn't had a chance to need ironing! But my ironing pile is huuuge!

I need to hoover desperatly as half a tonne of flies have committed suicide in our house in the last day or so and the baby keeps trying to eat them. Eurgh!

Any tips on how not to get too hot while hoovering in an oven would be great?!

shazronnie · 19/07/2006 13:35

do it naked neena?

longwaytogo · 19/07/2006 14:15

I did do the ironing last night in front of the fan, but the rest of the house is a tip and all i want to do is sleep

Cassoulet · 19/07/2006 14:21

Sorry, what's this thing called ironing?!

FrayedKnot · 19/07/2006 14:24

Yup!

Had just got on top of it after last heatwave (when had decoraters, plumbers etc in as well), and now it's going down hill fast again!

alexsmum · 19/07/2006 14:27

aragon · 19/07/2006 14:28

The art of CHAOS (Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome). I am a master. Live in fear of people calling unannounced.

hotmama · 19/07/2006 14:31

I'm supposed to be doing the ironing - it is not going to happen.

All I seem to be doing is nurse dd2, drink water, look at mumsnet, nurse dd2, drink water etc - you get the picture.

EmmyLou · 19/07/2006 14:36

Also going on holiday on Saturday and need to wash, iron and pack. Too nice and cool round by computer though. Good place to hide from children too.

fredly · 19/07/2006 16:18

anyone ironing in this heat is insane. Why iron anyway ?! I never iron !

EmmyLou · 19/07/2006 16:31

After hanging on the washing line being fried to a crisp, I find that most of my stuff needs ironing (don't bother with anyone elses )

SSSandy · 21/07/2006 08:51

I have mountains to iron. A lot of it seems to be winter clothing . Think I'll stuff that lot into a suitcase and forget about it for 6 months. Still plenty to do. Thank goodness I now have a huge electric fan. I couldn't face ironing at all in this weather otherwise.

CaptainFlameSparrow · 21/07/2006 08:58

Yup - I don't do ironing as a general rule though, so more just the clothes mountain.

We had a landlord inspection, and I still have 2 sackfuls of clothes waiting to be put away because I gave up and hid them
