How to prevent or get rid of these very attractive stains? Not sure if it is dh's toxic sweat or a combination of that and his deodorant but they seem to appear very quickly.

same problem with my dh, he's ruined some good tops. either yellow stains on white t-shirts' pits (bleugh) or white deo stains on dark tops. and my dh is very hygiene conscious & generally nice smelling

not sure that there is anything to prevent these marks, but bumping it for you 2labs.

I've yet to find anything that gets rid of it.
Paste made of bicarb of soda and water is meant to be good but hasn't worked for me. White deodorant patches v tricky - changing deodorant worked for me. And let it dry really well before dressing!

Think it's just some people - my white shirts get yellow pits , and I leave horrible yellow marks on the pillows and mattress cover where I sweat in my sleep. DH, on the other hand, has freaky corrosive sweat that actually bleaches the toes of his black socks, and if he wears a watch with a leather strap it rots through within a month. He claims it's the next stage of evolution and he's actually one of the X-men.

Think dh would go for the idea that he has X-men-like powers. Sadly I can't see him saving the world with his yellow patches.

Will try bicarb, anyway... thanks.

thought it was just my DH! Phew! I end up throwing shirts and Tshirts away cos I cant get rid of them. They not only discolour but go all stiff! yeugh!

PMSL at X-men - does he have any other strange super powers?
