Hoover recommendations

My Hoover has sadly gone to Hoover heaven. It was half useless anyway and it serves me right for being a cheapskate and buying one at £40 that had no reviews.

I am skint so as usual on a budget.

Can anyone recommend a Hoover under £80 (even one on sale half price etc) that is powerful and will pick up hairs etc easily. I have a set of stairs and everywhere is carpeted so a drag along type one would be best but I would consider an upright one too

I had a bissell before it died and I didn't rate it at all. I borrowed my grans Dyson this morning and it was amazing, picked everything up with no effort and I didn't have to do the whole house with just the hose Smile unfortunately I can't afford a Dyson Sad

Thanks in advance Smile

A lot of people like Henrys, they are not expensive I think.
