How to I clean my windows?

As you can tell I don't do them very often! When I do them I find it difficult to get them really clean and smear free. I have a boatload of cleaning products but no vinegar (and I don't want to go to the shops). How can I achieve a good result? I was assuming that first I wash them with soapy water to get all the dirt off, but them how to I get them streak-free? Will windex or similar do it?

Wash them with hot soapy water and dry with newspaper will be totally streak free Grin

Oh, I just finished outside and most of in. I looked at a YouTube vid and used washingup liquid in hot water and a squeegee. Obviously looks way better but do have a few streaks. Do I just buff with newspaper? And what's all the fuss about vinegar?

I normally go over them with windex or whatever and a micro fibre cloth after I've washed them. Then I find that all the smears were on the inside so I start all over again Xmas Grin.

Yeah just buff up with a newspaper, my mum used to use vinegar but don't know why

Warm water and an ecloth.
