I have just bought a brand new washing machine. How do I stop the rubber seal from going black?

Clean it regularly and leave the door open for an airing every now and again?

Thanks what do you clean yours with?

Just the kitchen spray I use everywhere else (dilute vinegar). I think the trick is just not to let the soap and damp build up, so I keep it clean and dry.
