How do I keep my new washing machine pristine?

Just got a new one after the old one bit the dust but was also horrible. There was mould around the rubber seal, mould in the drawer and no matter how much cleaning, nothing got it off, it seemed to be in ground.

So lovely ladies, how do I keep this one looking like new?!

You can buy washing machine cleaner. I run that brought mine when I remember once a month or so. I get mine from aldi, but I'm sure other supermarkets will do it.

It's a little bottle of fluid that you use to clean the seal then dump the rest in the drawer and run on a hot cycle.

Also, try removing the drawer completely every so often and soaking in bleach.

Yip defo leave door open when not being used, I also run some bleach through the drawer every few months on a boil wash, also once you have done a wash wipe down the rubber seal with a cloth

And don't use fabric conditioner. My current machine is the only one I've never used conditioner in and it's pristine (have used washing machine cleaner once every six months and always leave the door open a crack to let it air).

the drawer will get soap sludge in it, but you can put the powder through the door instead. See the instructions for removing and cleaning the filter and the soap drawer. It will tell you how to open the softener compartment to wash away the congealed old stuff.

wipe the rubber door seal often.

A regular hot hot hot white cotton wash with no powder but a cup of washing soda crystals will keep the internal sludge under control. Cold washes are not good for cleaning out all the residual sludge.
