Cleaning sofas

Have a cream faux leather sofa. My DS had managed to get a good few marks on it (mainly biro marks). Have scrubbed but marks still there. Anyone know anything I can try. Want to sell it and not going to have much luck if I can't clean it.

hairspray is meant to be good for removing biro marks.

i have read about it but never had cause to try it - presumably you spray a bit on a cloth and then wipe.

I would test on an inconspicuous area first to make sure it won't damage the finish.
