I finally got so fed up of being stuck having the smaller of the downstairs rooms as the living room that I found new sofas and planned a major change around.

Both rooms are joined with an open double doorway, and we had one HUGE sofa in the wide but shallow front room. In the larger back room we had the piano/dining table/computer desk.

When the kids were younger, this suited us. As they got older it became much less practical and it got to the point that I didn't feel comfortable in my own home. The sofa had 5 seats in theory, but in reality, there wasn't enough space for everyone to sit down comfortably at the same time.

Now we have a 2 and a 3 seater sofa and have much more space.

What I like the best, though, is that absolutely everything has been moved. And when it was moved, the skirting boards were scrubbed and the floor hoovered. Every bit of furniture was washed and/or polished. Lots of stuff was thrown.

A random visitor might not notice, but I know that it is CLEAN! Grin
