Tippex on clothes - how best to remove!

DS (aged 11) took tippex to school yesterday, and now it's on his grey trousers. How can I remove it, any ideas? Do I wash as usual? or freeze and chip off (like chewing gum)? warm iron and kitchen roll (like candle wax)? Or, bearing in mind they were cheap from Asda, throw away and buy new? Any advice gratefully received!! and why couldn't he have got it on his white shirt then it wouldn't show!!
