Keeping white canvas shoes white

DD bought a pair of white converse shoes- they've gradually gotten small stains on etc. Any tips?

All part of their charm

I've washed my white ones several times and they've come out ok.

I just throw mine in the washing machine on a short cycle! They come out all bright and lovely again and less smelly.

A couple of my pairs are over 10 yrs old so it doesn't damage them or shorten their life span.

I've got 2 teenage boys who will only wear pure white trainers! Nightmare when they wear cons but I wash them in the machine too but before I put them in I get a little cup of bleachy water a bar of vanish soap and a toothbrush, I dip the toothbrush into water then get some soap on the end and scrub the marks once that's done I bung in the machine for a cycle you do have to get the marks fairly quick don't let them lie for weeks
