What can I do with tumble dryer water?

Ok, forgive me if this is a silly Q, but I've recently purchased our first ever (condensing) tumble dryer. I love it, obviously, but I'm heaving what seems like endless litres of water down the sink. What can I do with it rather than sling it? Drink it? Cook with it? Or do you all just hurl it away?

I wouldn't drink it or cook with it, but I do water the plants with it.

TheLeastAccomplishedBennetGirl · 19/11/2013 13:42

Water plants with it, use it as steam iron filler?

Methe · 19/11/2013 13:43

I pour it down the sink.

Ticktock80 · 19/11/2013 13:47

We put it on our steam iron or the mop bucket for cleaning floors. It is just clean water after all.

Frontdoorstep · 19/11/2013 16:12

I just pour it down the sink.

Frettchen · 19/11/2013 16:56

Until now I've poured it down the sink without thinking about it, but I think I might start using it to water the plants - might not kill quite so many plants that way!

FunnysInLaJardin · 19/11/2013 17:03

we use ours on the garden, partly because we have a tight tank and it costs us £££'s to have it emptied!

SoupDragon · 19/11/2013 17:06

I put mine into the steam iron. We have very hard water and this saves forking out for special "ironing water"

PestoPeachissimos · 19/11/2013 17:09

As others have said, use it for ironing water.

Bubbles1066 · 19/11/2013 17:37

You can do anything with it other than ingest it! So water plants, put it in a steam iron, use it to clean the floor, wash you windows with it etc.

SoupDragon · 19/11/2013 17:44

My steam cleaner does specifically say not to use it though.

Thanks. It seems the best way to dispose of the water usefully is to do more housework...!
