Plug hole in shower is starting to drain slower and is humming a bit.
What do I put down it?

Many have removable tops so you can get in at the mass of congealed human hair.

If you can't, I'd hit the Mr. Muscle / sink cleaner / unblocker powder stuff which you pour in after running hot water and wait overnight...

I've pulled out the removable bit and can't see much, which suggests the need for poking about with a coat hanger.

Yes, anything with a little hookette bit on the end should help with your fishing expedition.

This is soooooooo gross a job...

I pulled out the most heinous object (dw has long hair) a few weeks ago.

second Mr Muscle Drain Unblocker - orange bottle
digests hair etc so removes need for hanger-poking and subsequent vomming.

Get thee to Tesco!

I think the only thing worse than a hairy plughole is liquid potatoes in the back of a cupboard.
(and it's my hair,so I can't even pass the buck)

Off to get the Mr Muscle stuff.

FWIW, if there is a wig living down there, I'd take that out first, but that's just me not being 100% sure how big Mr. Muscle's muscle is IYSWIM.

Plus, although the hair plug is Ultimately Gross... it is kinda fascinating in a school-sciene project kind of way. LOL
