Storing clothes, vacuum packing?

What's the best way to store clothes in the loft?

Mostly kids stuff that I want to hand down to next child. What does everyone else do?

I need it to look neat, stack preferably and not cost a fortune. I have a stack of clear plastic boxes that things are in now but was thinking vacuum packing might be better as I need more boxes and they are £7 a go!

Can anyone recommend vac pack bags? And then my other question is what do you store those bags in??! Or do you just stack those in the loft?

I have almost 9 years between eldest and youngest and use vac bags to keep them in when waiting to pass down. As to where. In ikea under bed storage boxes mainly but also in ikea boxes on top of wardrobes. Reduces space required and keeps them dry and moths out. Stilll smell quite fresh when unpacked!
