Hillary's Blinds. Any alternatives?

I've got Hillary's coming on Monday to quote for some venetian blinds. Are they like double glazing salespeople in that their first price is never their best price? If I send them away without signing up, will they get back to me later with a better price?

Also, who else should I be getting out to quote? I've only heard of Hillary's so could do with some recommendations. I don't want to order online and fit them myself, I want someone else to do the tricky bits. Thanks!

I had them for a quote and they weren't pushy. They told me there and then how much they'd charge. I hummed and ahhed and they came down a bit but...I just said I'd discuss it with my other half and let them know.

I then did a search engine search and put 'blinds (local area)' and it came up with a name.

(local area) Blinds did a great job and fitted them for much cheaper.

They always seem to have a special offer going on which makes their blinds seem like they're cheaper. I ordered some last year. They were good quality and the price included installation.

Ok, so perhaps get a price from Hillary's as a starting point and see if a local firm can beat it?
