Have you tried white vinegar? It dissolves limescale and is a good glass cleaner. If you have mildew, bleach should do the trick.

Viakal or Scale Away will do the trick :)

White vinegar and newspaper

Tumble dryer sheets, used or straight from the box

Mix vinegar with some cornflour in a plant sprayer, spray it on and leave it for 1/2 hour then wipe it off with an ecloth.

The lidl limescale remover sorted mine... Like new

Doesn't the vinegar smell longer, or does it go as soon as it's washed away ?

Wet wipes, cif or a similar cream cleaner, bleach, even just shampoo or shower gel on a sponge all work for me but I stay in an area with nice soft water.

Second viakal, I have the spray one. It seems to destroy soap scum and limescale

happyyonisleepyyoni · 11/11/2013 21:21

Cillit bang limescale is good-we live in a v hard water area.

I've tried everything and recently found Dettol sink and shower spray-it is truly marvellous stuff for shower screens.
