Does anyone have a Dunelm large microfibre mop. I'm sadly disappointed!

I have a new kitchen floor - porcelain slate effect tiles - a muddy dog, two small children. I really want a clean floor!

I bought a microfibre mop from Dunelm today, with spare heads so I can have one in the wash and one in use. Anyway, it's terrible (or I am, which is likely). It will only mop in one direction, swivels and collapses at any opportunity, you can't wring it out, as far as I can tell.

It was only £3.99. Was that my mistake, getting a cheap one?

You need an e cloth mop!

They are fab. You only need hot water but I sometimes add bleach or some diluted cleaner depending on how dirty the dog is. You can buy additional mop cloths too.

Which floor tiles do you have? I need to get some for my soon to be fitted kitchen and have no idea where to start.

God, the number of tile shops we visited! I was past caring by the end. We got them from online in the end (wallsandfloors or something). Large rectangular dark grey. Laid in a brick sort of pattern.

I almost hate the new kitchen as it's taken so long - still decorating to do before getting it to rights. And we're having the bathroom done this week.

You need a steam mop, they're fab

We've got Luna floor tiles from Homebase and they are superb. Ours are beige (a cream rather than brown beige) but they also come in black.

They have a luminescence to them which is amazing, not at all shiny though. They clean up beautifully too.

Thanks I'll have a look at those.
