I have tried all manner of products from the supermarket and nothing is shifting it.
Does anyone have any handy tips please?

Thanks

I rubbed some white vinegar on mine & then scrubbed & scrapped & got it off.

Thanks for replying Grin

Did you scoop the water out first? What did you find best to scrub and scrape with?

Thanks

Coke a cola I kid you not tip a bottle down the toilet before you go to bed and flush in the morning if its round the rim pour some into a squirty spray n away you

Always use toilet cleaner with limescale remover, then there is never a build up.

Domestos zero lime scale (the black & green pack) really works ...

You want to get a mop and bucket and wring the water from the toilet out into the bucket until it's totally empty then use a limescale remover overnight. It will be sparky in the morning.

When we moved into our house there was the grossest limescale you can imagine in the loo - it was over 1cm thick in the loo bowl. I had to chip it out with a screwdriver and hammer, and it stank.

I keep any more scale under control with harpic limescale loo cleaner. It's actually rather good. I even use it on the glass shower screen as things like cillit bang and flash are hopeless.

Mine was just around the rim where the water just splashes so not that bad. I just just a kitchen scrubber one that was for heavy duty pans not a non stick one. I used an old knife & just scraped.

You might be better with the other suggestions of scooping out the water & treating & leaving over night limescsle is in the bowl.

Plop a couple of denture tablets in just before bed. Scrub in the morning and repeat the next night if needed.

I used Ecover Toilet Cleaner overnight for 3/4 nights of the week, which cleaned off some nasty limescale without scrubbing or chipping, just normal loo brush - amazing stuff.

Harpic 100% limescale remover is the dogs bollocks! Push as much water out as you can using a loo brush and then squirt and entire bottle in and around the bowl. Leave it for 24 hours if you can, then scrub hard and flush. You may need to repeat again if it's a really bad build up, but as a maintenance weekly cleaner it can't be beaten!
