Storing Duvets - any suggestions (not vacuum sacks)

I have tried storing duvets in Vacuum sacks but they keep on deflating. The main problem seems to be the plastic sliders which don't seal them properly after being opened and closed a few times. I want to keep my duvets on top of my free standing wardrobes. What kind of boxes, bags would any of you well organised Mumsnetters suggest? I am going into hospital next week for a big op and would love to know that my duvets of all sizes look tidy before I go in. II wouldn't mind boxes because they would stack. Thanks.

I got huge bags from Ikea for a few quid. They're white and zip fully end to end. Have managed to get 2 doubles and 1 single duvet in one and summer clothes for 3 people in the other.

We've done the same before with large bags that fully zip - I think they're often labelled as under-bed storage, as the ones we have bought before were rectangular but that makes them easier to stack.

Alternatively, stick them in a suitcase/s that you're not using. Probably not the best solution when you need to chuck it out to go away, but we don't go away all that often so it works for us!

Sleeping bag compression bags are good. You put the duvet in then tighten up the straps around the bag. To fluff them back up I use tumble dryer. (Dryer or drier.. Hmm will check that one.)

Thanks everyone. I like all the ideas and am going to investigate them. From the appearances point of view boxes would look neater on top of the wardrobes, but large zipped bags could be equally good and they have the advantage of squashability (my word.)
My problem is that because of lack of storage space we use our under bed drawers for clothes.
